2-29 Lady Luck x Riot Scene Skate Jam

April 22, 2020 Concert Reviews, Live Music, Local News, Riot Scene Events

Lady Luck Print Co. hosted their grand opening in the form of a neighborhood Skate Jam / Leap Year Party and it was EPIC. Heather Wilson, owner of Lady Luck, celebrated with local brews, music, art and a gnarly skate session for everyone in the community.

In addition to the grand opening, local legends Addison Taylor and Ruby Lilley of the Alpha Girls Team celebrated with H-Street Skateboards in launching their new product line; which included skate decks and shirts printed by Lady Luck! Attendees walked away with fresh, custom screen printed Tees that were exclusive to this event for FREE! Matt Hensely of Flogging Molley also stopped by to say hi to everyone; he introduced and signed his latest release with H-Street- such a cool surprise!

Riot Scene was there to bring the noise- literally. In hand with Riot Scene Pale Ale from Legacy Brewing, the RS team was out blasting tunes and pouring brews before and between all the festivities. Riot Scene brought out an awesome lineup that included Art Disposal, The Renters, Carrier Frequency and the main attraction, The Black Market Brigade. Lady Luck and Riot SceneΒ  came together and launched a collaborative t-shirt in support of their new partnership and it was a hit!

Art Disposal took their spots around 4pm and kicked off the show! Skaters got to destroying ramps and rails- everyone was jamming. We were joined by Los Misfits Tacos who killed it supplying free food all evening and Black Plague Brewing who kept everyone’s thirst at bay with free beer! Between sets, our amazing MC for the evening, Jeremy Chandler of The Black Market Brigade, raffled off decks and goodies in support of the Poseiden Foundation; a nonprofit organization that inspires youth to pursue their passions in skateboarding.

The event was a huge success for everyone involved! Huge thanks to all the vendors, bands, sponsors and of course, Heather and Art of Lady Luck for bringing everyone together and showing us what dedication to community looks like.
